For all of you who live on the east coast of NSW and south east Qld , you will probably never forget how much rain we got over the weekend. The media are calling it “The worst rain event in 100 years” . That same weekend my niece Cassie got married, and yes I was her photographer.

So for everyone who asks me “ what if it rains on the day” , I reassure my bride and groom that we get the umbrellas out, put on the gumboots and get out there and have fun.

Don’t let the rain stress you out, smile, and focus on enjoying your day. Sure, you might have had your heart set on a sunny day, but that stormy one might be even better. As a wedding photographer, I’ve experienced this exact situation time and time again, and I have plenty of rainy wedding day shots up my sleeve! I will almost always be able to scout out sheltered spots, so relax and know you’re in safe hands!
