About

I’ve been shooting weddings and portraits for more than 12 years. Our journey began in Sydney and now our studio is based in Coolangatta, QLD.

Mint Photography service both areas and love to travel to all the magical coastal and rural areas in between.

Mint Photography’s philosophy is simple – fine art photography without the fuss.  My professional qualifications ensure you’ll get high quality photos that will stand the test of time on your living room wall, while our relaxed, unobtrusive approach on the day means you can actually enjoy having them taken (no awkward poses here).

Because Mint Photography have a team of photographers that shoot together, we can even be in two places at once! So, while one of us sneaks off with you for an intimate moonlit shoot outside, the other is inside snapping all of your guests’ most embarrassing dance moves.

Mint Photography also offer engagement shoots for couples before their big day to help you both get comfortable in front of the camera and document the exciting period leading up to your “I do”.

WEDDING photography

Over the years Sarah and her team have photographed hundreds of couples, so we know that no two weddings are the same. Sarah will get to know you both before the big day and tailor your photography package to your individual needs. Whether you’ve dreamt of a Vogue-style shoot with multiple locations or simply want to get your photos over and done with so you can get back to the party, Sarah will work with you to create your perfect dream wedding portraits. The Mint Photography team will also be on hand to photograph all the important moments of your special day, from getting ready with your bridal party to your final dance of the night (and all the details in between). Our style is candid and laidback, documenting your day exactly as it happens and capturing all the emotion and excitement in professional photos you’ll be able to enjoy for decades to come. Sarah personally edits all of your photos in the Mint Photography studio, and you will receive your retouched high-resolution photos in an online gallery with a secure password, this means you can share the link and password with your family and friends.

PORTRAITS : MATERNITY - NEWBORN - FAMILY

Sarah would love to meet your family and organise a portrait shoot at your favourite location – perhaps you are beach goers, or prefer the rural landscape or simply love nothing better than hanging out together at home. Sarah will work with you to create meaningful photos in a setting and style that really reflects who you are as a family.

If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, please get in touch. Mint Photography also offer Gift Vouchers which do not have an expiry date.

VISUAL CONTENT FOR INDIVIDUALS , SMALL BUSINESSES & CORPORATIONS

Mint Photography love creating visual content for individuals, small businesses, and corporations. Whether you need a professional head shot for your company profile, or photos of your new product range, website, or graphic content for your prospectus or annual report, Sarah works hard to produce high quality images for you. All of our work is edited and retouched here in the studio.

When should I book a wedding photographer?

As soon as you have your venue locked in, give us a call! Wedding photographers typically book up 6-12 months in advance, especially during peak wedding seasons (spring and autumn). Some suppliers can accept multiple bookings for the same date, but your photographer/s is with you for most of the day, so it’s strictly a one-couple-only type of arrangement. And once that date is booked, it’s booked! If your wedding is out of town, we also need to block out the travel time there and back.

Do you charge a travel fee?

We do not charge travel fees for any weddings in Queensland or NSW, as we regularly move between both locations. If you’re getting married overseas, we will provide a quote for flight and accommodation costs.

Help, I hate my photo taken!
What do I do?

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one! We hear this from a lot of our brides and grooms and we totally get it - your wedding day is nerve-wracking enough, never mind throwing in a photo shoot too. Our style of photography is candid and relaxed, so you won’t be forced into any awkward or uncomfortable poses. In fact, some of our favourite shots have come from sneaky moments where the bride and groom didn’t even know they were being photographed.

If you haven’t had professional photos taken before (which, let’s face it, is most of us… school photos don’t count!), we also offer engagement shoots in the months leading up to your big day. This is a relaxed 30-minute shoot will allow you and your significant other to get comfortable in front of the camera so you’ll be a pro by the time your big day rolls around!

How much do you charge?

We offer a 6-hour or a 9-hour package, depending on how much of your day you would like photographed. Our most popular package will see you through from the getting ready photos to your first dance, and prices start from $2600. However we are more than happy to customize our packages to suit your individual needs, so get in touch for a tailored quote.

Do you offer videography as well?

We sure do! Our combined photography and videography packages ensure you will be able to relive every moment of your day for years to come. And when you book both services with us, you don’t need to worry about your photographer and videographer jostling for prime position - we’ve been shooting weddings together for more than 10 years, so we know how to work together seamlessly (and most importantly, when to get out of each other’s way).

How much time should we allow for wedding portraits?

This will depend on exactly how many portraits you’re after. Some couples just want a few happy snaps before heading back to join the festivities, while others want a Vogue-style cover shoot featuring every possible combination of their bridal party and family members. We love both! It will also be influenced by how far your preferred portrait location is from your venue, as they are not always in the same place. Generally we recommend at least 45 minutes to an hour, plus travel time.

If you’re short on time between your ceremony and reception, consider a first-look photography session before the formalities begin - you and your partner can start the day with a private moment together, and won’t miss a second of the fun with your nearest and dearest!
