When should I book a wedding photographer?

As soon as you have your venue locked in, give us a call! Wedding photographers typically book up 6-12 months in advance, especially during peak wedding seasons (spring and autumn). Some suppliers can accept multiple bookings for the same date, but your photographer/s is with you for most of the day, so it’s strictly a one-couple-only type of arrangement. And once that date is booked, it’s booked! If your wedding is out of town, we also need to block out the travel time there and back.

Do you charge a travel fee?

We do not charge travel fees for any weddings in Queensland or NSW, as we regularly move between both locations. If you’re getting married overseas, we will provide a quote for flight and accommodation costs.

Help, I hate my photo taken!
What do I do?

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one! We hear this from a lot of our brides and grooms and we totally get it - your wedding day is nerve-wracking enough, never mind throwing in a photo shoot too. Our style of photography is candid and relaxed, so you won’t be forced into any awkward or uncomfortable poses. In fact, some of our favourite shots have come from sneaky moments where the bride and groom didn’t even know they were being photographed.

If you haven’t had professional photos taken before (which, let’s face it, is most of us… school photos don’t count!), we also offer engagement shoots in the months leading up to your big day. This is a relaxed 30-minute shoot will allow you and your significant other to get comfortable in front of the camera so you’ll be a pro by the time your big day rolls around!

How much do you charge?

We offer a 6-hour or a 9-hour package, depending on how much of your day you would like photographed. Our most popular package will see you through from the getting ready photos to your first dance, and prices start from $2200. However we are more than happy to customise our packages to suit your individual needs, so get in touch for a tailored quote.

How much time should we allow for wedding portraits?

This will depend on exactly how many portraits you’re after. Some couples just want a few happy snaps before heading back to join the festivities, while others want a Vogue-style cover shoot featuring every possible combination of their bridal party and family members. We love both! It will also be influenced by how far your preferred portrait location is from your venue, as they are not always in the same place. Generally we recommend at least 45 minutes to an hour, plus travel time.

If you’re short on time between your ceremony and reception, consider a first-look photography session before the formalities begin - you and your partner can start the day with a private moment together, and won’t miss a second of the fun with your nearest and dearest!
